Editorial standards
Electrical writing can hurt people if it is sloppy. These rules sit above any traffic target.
Advice is not a site visit
Essays explain typical Adelaide houses and South Australian rules. They are not instructions to work live, and they are not a design for your particular board. When a job needs a licence, we say so and point to licensing and standards.
Sources
We prefer primary documents: AS/NZS 3000 as applied in South Australia, Consumer and Business Services licensing, the Office of the Technical Regulator, SA Power Networks public advice, and the smoke alarm rules that apply to homes and rentals. When a scheme changes — batteries, rebates, export limits — we date the piece and update it.
Licensing claims
We do not invent PGE numbers or imply that a contributor is your electrician. Staff writers who hold a licence say so in the byline role. We never tell readers to skip a Certificate of Compliance.
Corrections
If a fact is wrong, we correct it in the essay and note the date. Send evidence through the contact form. We distinguish a correction from a disagreement about taste.

Voice
Australian English. Specific suburbs when they illustrate a type of house, not as a doorway to a directory. No “call now” buttons. Every navigational path is a real link a crawler can follow.
